Lyn's Story

Lyn is the Principal of LCD&Co Financial Planning. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974 and was in small business as a Tax Agent, Small Business Adviser, Accountant and Auditor for over 30 years.

In 2000, Lyn undertook further studies in financial planning and is recognized as a Fellow - Financial Planning Specialist of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Lyn is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional member of the Financial Planning Association.

Lyn is married to Dave and has two lovely adult daughters, Belinda & Alison, two great sons in law, Brooke & Dylan and four beautiful grandchildren, Jayden, Georgia, Kieran & Olivia.

Other than family and friends, Lyn's interests include watching many sports, learning languages (Spanish & French), travel, the beach, good music and reading. Lyn is passionate about Netball, especially the NSW Swifts and is a fanatical supporter of the Sydney Swans (AFL).

Lichen's Story

Lichen has a Master of Accounting (Macquarie University) and is an Associate Member of CPA. She has had experience in taxation, accounting, auditing self managed super funds and currently assists Lyn with all financial planning matters.

"I was born and grew up in Tianjin which is a beautiful city in Northern China. I had lovely parents and they always respected my opinions and encouraged me to come to Australia. I made the important decision to start my study life in Sydney in 2003 where I met my "Mr Right", Jerry at my first class at Macquarie University. We really like Sydney and want to spend the rest of our lives here. We applied for Permanent Residence and were granted it in November 2006. We have bought an apartment in West Ryde and were married in 2008.

I was employed by LCD&Co Financial Solutions in 2006 as a part time Assistant Accountant, after I finished a 70 hours Work Experience Program here. After I graduated from Macquarie University, I was offered a full-time position as an Accountant. I have gained valuable experience in the preparation of income tax return for individuals, companies and partnerships, and a variety of financial accounting assignments.

I currently provide paraplanning support to Lyn, assisting her to service her financial planning clients.

My other Interests -
I inherited my mother's hate of washing dishes, but am crazy about cooking and baking cakes. If my husband tastes a cake and doesn't die, I bring the rest into the office to share with my colleagues".
